April is Donate Life Month, and Piedmont Macon Medical Center is hosting a Donate Life flag-raising ceremony to promote organ donations in the midstate.

Piedmont Augusta held a Donate Life flag-raising ceremony Wednesday, April 3, at 1:08 p.m., on the front lawn of the main hospital.

April is Donate Life Month and Piedmont Columbus Regional will host a free, educational event that is open to the public at its Midtown Campus Conference Center to promote organ donation and bring awareness to the gap in organ donors among minority populations.

Highlighting its nationally recognized achievements in patient safety and quality, Piedmont Macon North was named a Top General Hospital nationally by The Leapfrog Group, widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive awards American hospitals can receive.
