NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the largest, most experienced transplant hospitals in the nation, performed 953 transplant surgeries in 2023, more than any other hospital in the U.S., according to the United Network for Organ Sharing.

Last December, Sophia Jackson was watching the news when she saw the story of Vadrien Alston, a New York City police officer and mother of two who was in need of a kidney transplant. Jackson was so moved by the story that she decided to travel to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center to help.

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is ranked No. 1 in New York and No. 7 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. This is the 21st consecutive year NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is the top-ranked hospital in New York.
